Darice Baird joined Hope Within as an administrative assistant in 2022. Darice has previously worked in administration and development in several local ministries, including Hope Within from 2013-2015.
She is married to her college sweetheart, Andy, and the mother of four amazing daughters. They attend Living Water Community Church in Harrisburg, PA, and volunteer together as a family with local organizations to serve refugee and immigrant families. They enjoy spending time together outside camping and hiking. Darice also enjoys baking, sewing, and reading.
Ashley Beachy, DMD joined Hope Within as a part-time dentist in 2023. She graduated from Eastern University with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry and obtained her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University. After completing a general practice residency program in Asheville, NC, she headed back to her home state of PA to start her dental career. She has practiced in a variety of patient care settings, including private practice and public health before settling into her current position at the Lebanon VA hospital.
As a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Beachy values the importance of continuing education in order to provide high quality dental care. She looks forward to sharing Christ’s love and care by helping many patients with dental treatment through Hope Within. Dr. Beachy & her husband, Jonathan, are recently married and enjoy spending time with family and friends and traveling to new places, especially anywhere tropical. Fun fact, Ashley’s mom, Diane Beck serves as a volunteer nurse at Hope Within.
Robin Bush, BSN brings a variety of nursing experience to Hope Within. Robin previously served as Director of Clinical Services at Hope Within from 2012- through early 2019, returning as a volunteer later that year. She also works part time at Susquehanna Family Medicine.
Robin lives with her husband Don, of almost 40 years, in Elizabethtown. They have two adult children and 2 grandchildren. They attend Hope Community Church where Robin is involved in Children’s Ministry and Mission programs. Robin desires to be the hands and feet of Jesus and finds sharing her faith while caring for patients a true joy.
Jo has been the Head Nurse at Hope Within since 2019. Jo earned her BSN from Messiah College. Before her time at Hope Within, she volunteered at Beacon Clinic in Harrisburg. During her time at Beacon she developed a love for the uninsured patient population. Her experience there prepared her to step into her current role at Hope Within.
She is married to Brad and they have seven children, one amazing son-in-law, two daughter-in-laws and four precious grandchildren. They live in Elizabethtown and split their time for worship between Hershey Free Church and LCBC in Manheim. Her goal is to bring glory to God in everything she does. At Hope Within she gets the privilege of caring physically, emotionally and spiritually for the uninsured and immigrant population. Her hope is to walk out her faith daily, while bringing grace, kindness and compassion to everyone at Hope Within.
Carol Geiger is the Site Supervisor for the counseling ministry of Hope Within. Carol is a licensed professional counselor who oversees the Lancaster Bible College graduate students as they provide counseling for Hope Within clients.
Carol has more than 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings. Carol and her husband, Bob, have four children, and nine grandchildren. Carol speaks fluent Spanish from her years of church and community development work in Bogota, Colombia. Carol and Bob are the pastoral couple at City of Refuge Brethren in Christ Church, a small Christian community dedicated to the wellbeing of men who are re-joining society after prison or substance abuse treatment.
Elena joined Hope Within Ministries as the Dental Director in 2019. Dr. Guk resides in Mechanicsburg with her husband Alex, where together they own and operate her private dental practice. They have been married for over 20 years and have four children, Emily, Timothy, Michael, and Diana.
Dr. Guk speaks fluent Russian, a skill that has been invaluable in communicating with our Ukrainian refugee patients. Her family attends the Slavic Evangelical Church of York. Her family loves the Lord and enjoys glorifying God with talents that God gave them.
David Keller, MD joined Hope Within as the Medical Director in 2019 out of a desire to use his medical skills and experience beyond his daily job as a physician with Lebanon Valley Family Medicine. He enjoys volunteering underserved communities. He has repaired houses in West Virginia, served on the Native American reservation in Oregon, assisted with various projects in central Pennsylvania as well as the amazon jungle communities of Pucallpa, Peru.
Dr. Keller and his wife have lived in Hershey, since 1988. They have three adult children. They attend Grace Point church, where he serves as an elder, usher and medical teal leader. He sees his faith impacting those around him in positive ways, both in spiritual and physical health.
Michele joined Hope Within staff as an Administrative Assistant in April 2023. Prior to joining the staffm she previously served as a volunteer receptionist with us. Before her retirement in 2020, Michele spent 37 years as a Flight Attendant with America Airlines, traveling to many domestic and foreign destinations. During her time as a Flight Attendant, Michele volunteered with “Airline Ambassadors”, a non-profit organization primarily made up of airline employees. These Airline Ambassadors provide medical escort to children requiring surgery and medical care in the US. Michele also participated in Mission trips to orphanages in foreign countries and taught Human Trafficking Awareness classes within the airline industry. Michele’s formal role was “Director of Human Trafficking Awareness”, where she spoke to groups from various organizations involved with travel to spread awareness of what signs to look for when seeking to identify potential sex trafficking victim and how to intervene. The gentle skills that she learned have already benefited patients that we see at Hope Within.
During the course of Michele’s Flight Attendant career she ran 2 home based businesses selling jewelry and women’s clothing. During 2006-2007, Michele helped set up, manage, and run a meal assembly business, giving her lots of insight to the administrative side of business.
Coming to Hope Within gives Michele the opportunity to use her people skills and administrative knowledge at a place that helps those in need and shows Jesus love, on a daily basis. She is thankful to Hope Within for this opportunity.
Michele is married to Mike and they have 3 children. She loves her time with her kids and grandchildren. They have attended Hershey Free church for 33 years.
Brenda Martin worked at Hope Within as the Business Manager from 2005 to 2019 and rejoined in 2021. Brenda works full time for High Company, LLC as Manager of Applications and Development Group and is the Bookkeeper for World Without Orphans Global.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Messiah College, a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Lancaster Bible College and a Masters of Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University Capital College. Brenda is a founding member of Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Mount Joy, PA where she is actively involved in Youth and Missions. In her free time, Brenda enjoys travel, reading, hiking and time with friends.
Anne Marie McAlester served as Hope Within’s office manager from 2012 to early 2018. In January 2019 Anne Marie returned to HW as COO and later that year she was appointed Executive Director. Anne Marie has served the majority of her adult career in Christian Ministry in a variety of settings; Church staff, Christian Theater and Christian schools and she has extensive experience with overseeing large teams to accomplish big tasks.
Anne Marie worked as a nurse for 10 years prior to leaving the profession to raise her children. Though she has not maintained her nursing license, her experience in the medical field has been a great asset to her as she serves the community via Hope Within. Anne Marie has been married to her husband, Brad, for over 30 years. They have two adult children, Bradley and Brendan, both first responders. The McAlester Family worships together at Grace Point Palmyra Evangelical Free Church.
Tina Nissly joined the Hope Within Ministries team in January 2019, accepting the role of Dental Program Coordinator for Hope Within Dental. She resides in the Mount Joy area.
Tina has two amazing children and two grandchildren who she loves to spend her time with. Tina worships and loves the Lord Jesus Christ and attends the Worship Center in Leola. She is active with Women’s Bible study and is on the Hospitality and Guest team. Tina is a 1992 Dental Hygiene graduate from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Tina currently practices full time as a registered dental hygienist at, Cornerstone Dental Health in Lemoyne. Tina has her Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner license along with her Expanded Function Dental Assistant License. For over seven years she ministered and was employed in a local free dental clinic in Lancaster County as the Dental Director. Her passions are sharing the Lord Jesus Christ with the patients and the volunteers.
Tina also equips the team in prayer and encourages others to trust and watch how God provides for the people He wants to have served through the means of Dentistry. She has served in Peru on a Medical/Dental mission trip. She also enjoys helping to collaborate, develop and operate dental programs for those who are in need of services but more importantly in need of Christ Jesus. It is a beautiful way to see smiles and hearts transformed for His Kingdom.
Audrie Zettick Schaller joined the HW team in 2022. Originally from Bucks County, PA, she ran her family’s advertising specialty company there while also serving on many boards of directors of organizations that addressed the needs of at-risk families. Her involvement in fundraising included activities for the United Way, a local hospital, and other community organizations; she also served as fund development chair for both the Freedom Valley Girl Scout Council in Valley Forge and the Hemlock Girl Scout Council in Harrisburg.
While serving in the Reagan Administration at the US Department of Health and Human Services, Audrie coordinated grants for Family Caregiving, children with HIV, and Head Start programs. During the Ridge Administration in Harrisburg, she served at the PA Department of Public Welfare where she worked on their welfare reform initiatives.
Audrie holds an MBA in Marketing from the George Washington University and BA in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University. She and her husband Bill are parents to two adult children, Alex and Will. She currently attends Gracepoint Church in Palmyra, but has been active in many local churches (particularly Hershey Free Church and Hope Community Church) where you might have seen her leading music worship for Awana, singing in choir, or doing crazy science experiments to exemplify Biblical concepts.
