Lancaster, Pa. – Hope Within Ministries is pleased to announce our participation in this year’s
tenth annual Gifts That Give Hope/Lancaster’s Alternative Gift Fair. Gifts That Give Hope,
501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization is dedicated to supporting other non-profits through
meaningful, alternative gift giving. This year’s annual Gift Fair will take place Saturday,
December 9 from 10am-4pm at the Farm & Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Rd, Lancaster, PA
17601. The past 9 Gift Fairs have generated over $450,000 for over 50 local and global non-
profit organizations – many of which are based right here in Lancaster.
This year’s Gift Fair will feature 30 local, national and international non-profits such as Hope
Within Ministries, Lancaster Habitat for Humanity, Lancaster County Reach Out and Read
Coalition, HOPE International, North Star Initiative, and many more. Shoppers will have the
opportunity to peruse the tables hosted by each organization and purchase alternative gifts
that will directly benefit the mission of those organizations. Alternative gifts are things like
school tuition for a young child, food or medical care for a family in need or musical
instruments for underfunded schools. Hope Within’s featured gifts are: $5 or $10 for a
pregnancy kit: provides a low-income woman with a pregnancy test and $25-45 covers the cost
of one health or mental health care visit for a low-income woman. When a shopper purchases a
gift, they will be given an elegant gift card which lists the gift purchased and the organization
supported which can then be given as a holiday gift for a loved one.
“We are super excited and honored to be participating in the Gift That Give Hope Lancaster Fair
this year,” says Robin Bush, Director of Clinical Services, “this opportunity gives us a chance to
meet face to face with supporters, share our story and be a part of a greater movement-
encouraging people to give gifts that give back!”
In addition to shopping, there will be many family-friendly activities, including: WJTL’s Kids’
Cookie Break live broadcasting from 9am-12pm, live music and many other activities
throughout the day.
Many local food vendors will join the gift fair to this year offering a bevy of food and beverages,
including Upohar Catering, Urban Olive, Stroopies, Perk Up and Co. Coffee to name a few.
Our Marketplace will feature tangible gift items that also give hope and give back available for
purchase at the gift fair. Several tables will be filled with fairly traded goods such as chocolate,
